Clean and most things in the bedroom were well designed and new. Wonderful building located on the banks of the Loire. Some history. Convenient walk along the river into nearest town.
No lift so rooms on higher floor difficult to access for elderly and inferm.

Gorgeous hotel, lovely walled garden area, room and bathroom to die for. Mosquito frame for use. Restaurant terrace views superb.
If you use the mosquito frame instead of shutters, then curtains are need to keep out morning light.

The rooms were big, light, airy and well decorated in different styles. The food was very very good! Good view on to the Loire and a nice garden inside the walls.
A bit pricey perhaps. No sign of the "personal bathrobes" promised on Booked.net. Don't forget to put up the mosquito net windows - the river is very close, so there's lots of tiny flies at night time..

Beautiful, tranquil setting on the banks of the Loire within walking distance of the little town of Meung. The small hotel is a somwhat quirky restoration of a beautiful old building with a pretty courtyard garden. There is easy parking and the room we stayed in had a sweeping view of the river. We didn't try the hotel's own restaurant but it's worth noting that there seemed only to be a bar/brasserie and a pizzeria if you want to get a meal without driving.
No hairdryer!

We stayed at this lovely hotel on our way back to the UK and we were impressed from the start. The location on the river bank provides stunning views of the Loire and the surrounding valley. The warm welcome we received, along with our dogs, made us feel right at home. Our spacious and clean room had beautiful period features and a lovely view of the river. We enjoyed a delicious meal in the restaurant, which also had a picturesque setting. The buffet breakfast was well stocked with a variety of local jams, breads, and croissants. Being close to the motorway was an added convenience. we highly recommend this little gem of a hotel.

Fantastic room and view of the Loire.
The restaurant was closed on the night we stayed. Had we known we would not have booked up for the night. The breakfast was very poor, the worst we had in 11 nights travelling through the Loire. We only had coffee and croissants. As I am a coeliac I was unable to eat anything, that had not happened at any other hotel. Also we only got one cup of coffee each. I asked for another and we got 1/2 a cup each.

Our room was wonderful for our family of 4. We enjoyed the fabulous view out over the Loire river and the gorgeous central courtyard. The restaurant meal was divine. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and family.
On the internet information page it was mentioned that there was bathrobes, our son was sad that they weren't supplied.

The hotel was lovely in a perfect setting right on the Loire River. The staff was warm, welcoming and helpful. The interior courtyard was a cool, shady spot with pretty flowers, a wonderful respite on a hot day. The restaurant had a pleasant and easy ambiance. We thought it was an excellent value. The view from our 3rd floor window was spectacular taking in the countryside and the Loire River. We woke up to see a hot air balloon floating toward the river. The town is quaint and charming. We were there for a wedding in a nearby town and enjoyed the friendly warmth of this special spot on the Loire.
The two things most Americans would complain about come from our self-indulgence. There was no elevator so we had to take our bags up the narrow stairway to our third floor room, but the staff was very eager to make it easier by helping with our heavy bags. There was no air conditioning and the unseasonably hot late September/October nights proved a bit uncomfortable. They provided screens for the windows but we had bugs anyway. A typical spring or fall visit would not likely need air conditioning but in the summer rooms at the lower levels might be cooler. Also noted that there was no box of kleenex provided and the toilet paper was limited. Nevertheless I would stay again.
